What's the Problem?

To connect and integrate systems that use knowledge at different levels, we need an open, light-weigh and extensible knowledge infrastructure.

Towards a Solution

We defined and implemented a light-weigh, message-based protocol that allows higher-level services to be built.

  • using the well-supported HTTP for transport
  • define an RDF-based envelope
  • takes an XML-encoded content
  • Java & Prolog versions are provided
